How to Use

How This Is Calculated
The bracket generator uses standard tournament seeding algorithms. Teams are seeded to minimize early matchups between top seeds. Single elimination means one loss eliminates a team. Double elimination gives teams a second chance through a losers bracket. Byes are distributed to fill bracket spots to the next power of 2.
Worked Example
Example: 8-team single elimination bracket
Teams: Team Alpha, Team Bravo, Team Charlie, Team Delta, Team Echo, Team Foxtrot, Team Golf, Team Hotel
Quarterfinals: 4 matches
Semifinals: 2 matches
Finals: 1 match
Total matches: 7 (8 - 1 = 7 for single elimination)
